The company Sinapsi S.r.l., with registered office at Giovanni Pacini 93, 20131 Milano (MI), Italy (hereinafter “Sinapsi” or the “Company”),pursuant to EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”), is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
Subject of Processing
This notice (together with other documents referred to herein) describes the personal data (“Personal Data”) that the Company collects from users of the website and how it is processed.
Purposes of Processing
The Personal Data is collected and processed by the Company in order to respond to user requests via email or telephone. The use of the information described above is permitted by the applicable law on the protection of Personal Data, as it is:
- necessary for the legitimate interests of the Company in pursuing the above purpose; such interests are in no way in conflict with the users’ right to privacy;

The Company retains information for the period necessary to fulfill legal obligations. The retention period of personal information depends on the purpose for which the data is processed and the tools with which such personal information is processed. However, it is not possible to reasonably specify the retention period in this Policy. The criteria used to determine the applicable retention period are strictly related to the time (i) necessary for the relevant purpose, (ii) necessary for the performance of the commercial relationship with the user, (iii) accepted by the user and/or (iv) required by applicable laws.
Sharing of Personal Data with Third Parties
To facilitate efficient use of information and to provide users with content and/or resources, information is disclosed to third parties. However, such disclosure will only occur in the following circumstances:
- to suppliers and contractors: the Company may involve or engage other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on its behalf, such as hosting and/or maintaining website content or providing certain features contained therein. Recipients will have access to personal information only to the extent required by the performance of their functions, and may not use it for other purposes. Recipients will be bound by contractual obligations of confidentiality;
- to governmental or judicial authorities if the Company believes they are legally required to request it.

The Personal Data collected may be transferred and processed in one or more countries within or outside the European Economic Area. Data is transferred outside the European Economic Area only to countries that the European Commission considers to offer an adequate level of protection, or where the Company has implemented appropriate safeguards to preserve the confidentiality of such information.

Although the Company is committed to doing everything possible to protect personal information, it is noted that transferring information over the internet is not entirely secure and the security of Personal Data transmitted to the website or to third parties cannot be guaranteed; for this reason, any data transmission is at the user’s risk. However, rigorous operational procedures and appropriate technical and organizational security measures are applied to prevent any unauthorized access, alteration, deletion, or transmission of such personal information.
User Rights
Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR grant the user, as a data subject, the exercise of specific rights outlined below:
- right to access and obtain a copy of Your Personal Data: the user has the right to request confirmation that the Company is processing any of their personal data. In this case, they may access their Personal Data and some information regarding the processing. In some cases, the user may request the Company to provide an electronic copy of their data;
- right to rectify Personal Data: where the user can demonstrate the incorrectness of their Personal Data held by the Company, they have the possibility to request the updating or rectification of such data;
- right to erasure/deletion of data: in certain circumstances, the user has the right to have their Personal Data erased. The request can be made at any time and the Company will consider the possibility of accommodating such request. However, this right is subject to legal rights or obligations that may require the Company to retain the data. If it is determined that, under the law, the request for deletion of Personal Data can be granted, the Company will do so immediately without undue delay;
- right to object: although the processing of user data by the Company is based on its legitimate interest (and on no other processing justification), the user has the right to object to the processing of their Personal Data carried out by the Company with regard to their particular situation;
- right to withdraw consent: to the extent that the processing of Personal Data is based on their consent, the user also has the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on consent given before such withdrawal.
Exercise of Rights
In order to exercise their rights, the user may write to the following email address: privacy@sinapsi.com. It is also possible to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of Personal Data with the local Privacy Authority.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
The terms of this Policy may change from time to time. The Company will publish any substantial changes to this Policy by proper communication on this website or by contacting the user through other channels.
